This is to give everyone an idea of what the orphanage is...
Basics:
Pretty much your average orphanage- collecting unwanted or abandoned children who have no place to go for various reasons.
Rules/Adults/Roles of other persons:
Many of the adults for the most part, have the attitude of someone who is stuck in this job and would prefer to be doing anything else instead, but there are some who genuinely enjoy their work. Originally all of them did, but over time, the enthusiasm of some faded.
The rules are as followed.
1) No violence, fighting or troublemaking. Punishment will be according to .
2) Everyone has their meal schedule- stick to it, and eat when it's your turn.
3) Lights out are strict- only exception is for use of the restroom. No socializing after hours.
4) All areas should be supervised. If you are going to the restroom, tell one of the adults.
**more to come (I'm kinda tired. Tired = lazy. and yet I'm still trying to do all this...)
Layout: (interior design)
Consists of 5 floors, including the basement. Each floor has a chute for laundry that leads to the basement. Some windows have bars over them in addition to glass, but most of the windows are glass and slide open.
->Going from the bottom up, the basement is where laundry is done. There is also a giant freezer down there in which food is stored.
->The first floor - also called the ground floor - is where the offices and main entry way is if a family comes in to adopt or, as is more often the case, where the paper work for a new orphan child is filled out and filed. Also on this floor is where the kitchen is. Upon entering the lobby there is a door on the side that leads to a fairly nice bathroom- reserved for visitors and adults. In the the back of the lobby is a 2nd door that leads to a hall. Go to the left and take the 1st door on the right to reach the room where many children eat. The 1st on the left is off limits. the 2nd door on the left is the kitchen. If you were to turn right then at the very end of the hall you would find a staircase. On the left side as you head to the staircase is a door leading to a large empty room that acts as a gym of sorts. Bathrooms are located on a small seperate hall that branches off at the opposite end of the hall, by the kitchen.
->The second floor has several rooms that are all somewhat similar. Most of these rooms are classrooms, although they vary to apply to different age groups. There are also some spare rooms that can be used for a variety of purposes, but mostly remain empty. One set of restrooms for each gender are located in the middle of this hall. There is a nursery for the youngest of the children on this floor as well.
->The third floor is where most the older children and the teens sleep. *more information to be added on the details of the rooms*. Among these bedrooms there are smaller rooms, some branch directly from the shared bedrooms, and others branching from the halls. There are 2 large group bathrooms, one on either end of the hall on this floor. Both are gender specific- one for males, the other females. These bathrooms contain showers.
->The fourth floor is mostly unused except for storage, although there are rooms that can be used as sleeping quarters if the number of children become too great for the 3rd floor. There are 2 bathrooms up here as well, one located in the back corner and the other about a third the way down the hall from the first bathroom.
Appearance: (exterior design)
A somewhat run down-down 4 story brick building with a basement. Nothing extraordinary about it other than how completely average it looks.
Location:
Located in the Nightcrest district. On either side are buildings of similar height on the entire block, making escape via the roof simple to those who know what they are doing. It isn't exactly in an 'upscale' part of town, although there are much sketchier places in the district you could go to. It is a few miles from Dreadwood Forest, and Haven's Bar is even farther. The 3 - the forest, the bar and the orphanage - make a triangle, with the orphange and the bar being the farthest from each other.
