In this world, unless given permission by one of the admins or mods, Days pass by in our world just as they do in real time. That does not mean that any thread that carries on past an actual day has to be time skipped. Say you start a thread today, and by some chance it takes days to finish the entire thread. What took days in the real world could've been mere hours in game. However, the next thread you make will catch up to the present.
As for traveling, You can move to any to different board in reasonable distance. Even with vampire or werewolf like speed, Most likely your character will not be running the entire time there. So you cannot assume that you can move from one city to another miles away unless you have a form of transportation at your disposal, ie cars, plane tickets etc.
