Finn and Shoku walked through the forest for about an hour or so before finally reaching town.
Finn approached both salons that Rocky had mentioned, but neither really suited her. She thought to apply anyway, but when she asked about it, she was turned down.
Solemnly Finn was back on the street with Shoku, and they were trying to find the restaurant - the last address on the list.
Finn shuffled along sadly as she got closer to her last destination for the day before heading "home".
She remembered her last interview though, and tried to perk her face up just a little.

Shoku hugged his new member tightly, trying to reassure her that she would definitely get the job at the restaurant, saying how the other two were blind for not seeing her potential. The werewolf wasn't one for pep talks and so was mostly at a loss for words, but he atleast attempted to make her feel better.
"Well, here it is." Shoku stated, coming to a stop in front of the restaurant. "Shall I stay outside again, or would you like it if I came in with you?"

Finn returned the hug, and smiled a little brighter. "Thanks, Shoku. I appreciate it."
The restaurant was in view now, and the sun was getting ready to set. "I think I'll just go in alone," Finn said, grabbing the handle of the door. "I'll look more confident that way." Finn entered the restaurant and prepared herself for her interview with the owner.
When someone called her name, however, it wasn't the man's voice she had expected but a soft woman's voice. "Finn McKelly!" she called from somewhere in the kitchen. "Is a Finn McKelly here?" she called. Finn raised her hand and answered timidly, and the woman replied "Well hurry up dear, it's about to be madness in here! Come in, come in!"
The interview seemed to go well, and Finn liked the woman a lot. Turned out that the Owner had some business to take care of, and it was his wife that was interviewing her.
"Such pretty eyes, too," mused the woman to Finn as she watched her clean dishes, though Finn felt more like she was giving the woman free labor than interviewing for a job. "They seem..familiar...somehow... but you're not from here, you say? Ah, well, must be a mistake..."
Finally, the interview was over and Finn walked back outside to meet Shoku, smiling and take out boxes in hand.

Shoku leaned against the restaurant's wall, impatiently waiting for Finn to come back so they could go. He hoped she got the job so he could enjoy getting all his money back without the same brutal work it took to get it the first time around. Occasionally a girl or two walking down the street would giggle and wave at him, though he payed them little to no attention.
He wasn't a skirt chaser and he wasn't about to start turning into one, though he seemed to attract alot of unwanted female companions lately. When Finn stepped out, smiling and two white carry out boxes in her hand, Shoku raised his eyebrow and smirked. "Someone looks like they've just been hired, how'd it go?" Shoku said, thinking for a second before asking her another question. "Hey out of curiosity... Am I, well, hot?" Shoku asked awkwardly. It was a random question but he had to know why he seemed to attract so much attention, even getting an orphan girl to "save" his life and fall for him.

Finn smiled even more brightly and nodded her head. "I'm in a 'trial period' right now because they were seriously considering hiring another busboy to replace one they're promoting at the end of next week, but my whole interview ended up being with the Owner's wife instead of the Owner himself, and she liked me better!"
"Here," Finn said, offering him one of the white boxes. "It's a free meal because I helped her wash the dishes."
Shoku took the box and asked Finn another question. "Hey out of curiosity... Am I, well, hot?" he asked, not really looking her in the eye.
Finn weighed her options, thought about the consequences for a moment, then decided just to tell the truth. "Yeah, you are. That hair of yours is really unique, your body's not bad, and you're so distant that it makes girls want to try to get closer to you to see what you're all about. Your hidden heart may very well be a better prize than some belonging to those who parade theirs around as either very open or very broken. That's how I think girls would see you, anyway." Finn shrugged.
"What about me?"

Shoku was surprised to hear her answer, he never really saw himself as all that, maybe the movies were right, being a werewolf or vampire turned you into some irresistible pretty boy. The werewolf's eyes widened and his face became slightly flushed when she asked him.
He didn't quite know how to answer her, plus if by chance he told Finn she looked amazing, it would blow up in his face with all his downing her he had done, on the other hand, if he tried to lie and make her sound hideous, well she lived in the same house as him now. Wouldn't end well. "Well uh. You're kinda like.." Shoku said, fumbling over his own words. He went from cool and calm to a nervous wreck in no time at all. A guy walked by and whistled at Finn. "Well, does that answer your question? You have... pretty hair and, a good figure." Shoku forced out.

Finn blushed at both Shoku's answer an the jerk that walked by. "Why do people do stuff like that?" She said absentmindedly as she shifted the box she was holding in her hands.
This was, of course, not the exact answer she'd wished for, but it was better than expected. She awkwardly thanked Shoku "f-for your input...of course..." she'd added quickly, looking away from his face.
"So.. uh... wanna go eat now?"

"People do that cause you're a cute blonde" Shoku blurted out, only realizing what he said moments after it was too late. "Atleast, that's what most guys think of you, I mean eh." The tension between them after complimenting on each other's looks seemed to grow with every passing second, until she asked if they wanted to go eat.
"Yeah, great idea. I'm hungry though, mind if we just sit at that bench and eat and then whatever else you had to do in town?" Shoku asked, his finger pointing over to a bench on the other side of the street that seemed to be empty of any civilians or homeless urchins who'd beg for money and/or food.

Finn nodded in agreement, and the two took their dinners over to the bench, eyes diverted and cheeks burning.
Finn opened her box hesitantly, not being sure what might be in it, but was surprised to see a nice steak, a baked potato, vegetables, and a sour dough roll. "Wow..." she breathed, looking over the meal. "How nice is she? I knew it was heavy, but..wow.. what'd you get?" She asked Shoku as she fumbled with the plastic encasing her fork.

Shoku looked over at Finn as she opened her box, seeing what she had and hoping that his looked like hers. Once she asked him what was packed inside of his own, white box, he signed and opened it. "Same thing as you, except instead of the vegetables and baked potato, I have steak fries!" Shoku said happily, not even bothering with the fork before munching away at his free food.

Finn elbowed him as she finally got her fork free of its packaging. "Lucky!" she said as she stuffed some of her potato in her mouth. "Man, I didn't realize how hungry I am!" she said as she picked up her steak with her fingers and took a huge bite.
Shoku watched her as she did this. "What?" she mouthed as she couldn't quite speak for the meat sticking out of it. "This is reeeally good!" she said as she finally chewed up everything she'd stuffed into her mouth and swallowed for the first time.
Finn smacked her lips together, and realized they were very dry and she was very thirsty. She chewed on her vegetables as she tried to think of a quick and easy way to remedy this.

"You look like a nice civilized girl on the outside, but there's nothing lady like about you on the inside," Shoku said, snickering slightly. It only took him minutes before the steak fries were completely demolished and he only had half a steak left. "I think I like the idea of you working, you should bring back free food more often!" He said, stuffing the remaining half of the steak in his mouth and chewing quickly.
"You know, they say it's rude to smack your lips, you're not an animal, or atleast that's what you try to deny." There werewolf got up and trashed his box in one of the many garbage cans found around the district.
So, any more ideas Finn?" Shoku asked, as he sat back down next her.

Finn scowled at his remarks but ended up laughing anyway. "Alright alright so I'm sloppy... I get it..."
Hmm.. Ideas...
Finn chewed the remaining bit of steak on her plate thoughtfully. "Well, I don't have any money, but I never did get to see that movie the other day..." she let out a dramatic sigh. "And I'm really thirsty."
Finn let her eyes widen, and she dropped her fork on her plate.
"But... you know... there are monsters here that come out at night." Finn spun her head around quickly and let out a gasp before clapping her hands to her face. "And it's already sundown! Look!" she giggled a little bit and kept eating.

Shoku rolled his eyes at Finn. "You are so childish, you'd think being one of those so-called monsters, you'd stop joking about that. Anyway, I don't really want to see a movie. I can do a lot of things with you, but I will not pay to sit in a theater for over an hour and watch some boring flick." Shoku said firmly, making it absolutely clear that he hated going to the movies. The only thing he ever liked about movies before was the sci-fi and action, but now he practically lived that in his daily life, why'd he need to pay to see it?

Finn raised her eyebrows. "Many things, huh? Like what?" She smirked as she tossed her empty plate into the trash bin on top of Shoku's. "Why don't you think of something since my wittiness, charm and beauty got us this fabulous meal!"she giggled, putting her hands on her hips and sticking her tongue out at him.
